Restaurants in Fort Collins

Dining Out

Whether you’re short on time, forgot to plan dinner, don’t feel like doing dishes, haven’t gone grocery shopping lately, or just want a night out on the town with the family, dining out can be a fantastic option. Especially in an area like Fort Collins where there are so many options to choose from. Having so many options can be a good thing … if you choose wisely!

How Do You Choose A Restaurant?

Do you choose where to eat based on location? Speed? Flavor? Price? Dietary restrictions? There are a lot of factors that come into play. In a busy city like ours, you don’t have to sacrifice quality for time. Most people think of McDonald’s and Taco Bell when they consider “fast food” options.

But thankfully, there are lots of other “quick in and out” restaurants that boast REAL food on their menus. What do I mean by REAL food? Food without fillers, additives, preservatives and colorings. Many traditional “fast food” restaurants today have menu items packed with these foreign ingredients… and our bodies just don’t know what to do with them. But consider a bowl of soup from a local soup and salad place that sources ingredients locally, or a fast takeout salad with organic chicken. These options exist!

Listen in as Kudzai and I brainstorm the best places in Fort Collins to get a meal that won’t leave you feeling bogged down or sluggish!

How to Rock a Tomato Garden!

When we first moved to Colorado, we tried growing tomatoes in our backyard. We loved the idea of fresh, organic juicy tomatoes anytime we wanted! Between the bugs, the rabbits, some unfortunately timed hail, and what we figured was just bad luck, we ended up with next to nothing to show for it. We assumed

Food Labels…. Do we have it backwards?

I saw this graphic the other day while browsing Facebook:  It’s a valid question – and an eye opener. As I was hunting for tiny “organic” and “non-GMO” labels on the little food pouches that Matthew loves so much during my recent trip to the grocery store, I couldn’t help but think…. Why is it

Zero Calorie Foods

Dieting is not fun. I have never met anyone who enjoyed it. Part of that is our concept of “dieting”. Rather than viewing our DIET as our habits of food intake – literally that which we eat (definition), we think of DIET as a punishment, chore, or restriction (change in diet to lose weight). Change the
